The morning after: pool, breakfast, spa
The best part of staying is the morning you would otherwise spend driving. These are the hours to plan it around.

- 7:00 AMThe heated indoor saltwater pool, hot tub, saunas, steam room and fitness centre open on the third floor (until 10 PM), for hotel and spa guests.
- 7:00 AMThe Weirs starts breakfast in the hotel lobby (until noon).
- 10:00 AMThe Spa at Rama Resort opens on the main floor off the lobby (until 7 PM). Arrive 15 minutes early, with sandals.
- 11:00 AMCheck-out. Ask in advance if you want a late check-out — it is not guaranteed.
- NoonDowntown Orillia, the Leacock Museum (Thursday to Saturday in autumn) or the Mnjikaning Fish Weirs at the Narrows.
The pool
The resort calls it a horizon pool: heated, indoor, saltwater, with natural light, and a hot tub beside it. It is on the third floor with the change rooms, the dry sauna, the steam room and the fitness centre, which reopened after renovation in March 2026 according to the hotel page. The pool is for hotel and spa guests. Before the renovation the fitness room was adults-only; the current page does not say whether that still applies, so families should ask.
A treatment before check-out
A 60-minute massage or a classic facial booked at 10 AM finishes before 11 if you arrive on time. The longer packages — Essence, Balance, Indulgence — will run past check-out, so ask for a late check-out or check out first and leave your bags with the bell desk. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice or the treatment is charged in full. More on the spa page.
Breakfast
The Weirs is a casual sit-down breakfast room in the lobby, open daily from 7 AM to noon and open to all ages. If you want only coffee, Tim Hortons is in the building.
The drive home
Leaving at noon on a Sunday puts you on Highway 11 and Highway 400 with the cottage traffic in summer and with weekend skiers in winter. If you can, stay for lunch in Orillia and leave mid-afternoon.
