Questions guests ask
Frequently asked questions
Short answers, each from the resort's own pages unless we say otherwise.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM, according to the resort's FAQ. A third-party booking site lists different times; the resort's are the ones that apply.
Is there a resort fee?
Yes. The resort's conditions list $20 plus HST per day on most stays, covering Wi-Fi, local calls, an in-room coffee maker, two bottles of water and access to the pool and health club. It is waived for the top tiers of the casino's loyalty programme.
How many rooms does the hotel have?
The official hotel page says 292 suites. Other sources give 289 or 300; we use the resort's figure.
Do all rooms have a fireplace?
The resort lists a gas fireplace for the Deluxe Suite, the standard room type. It does not list fireplaces separately for other suite types.
Can I ask for a lake view?
You can ask, and we pass it on, but the resort does not sell view categories, so it cannot be guaranteed.
How old do I have to be for the casino and the shows?
The casino is 19+ with valid government photo ID with a signature; guests 21 or younger need a second ID. Since January 2026, shows are 19+ unless a show is advertised as all ages.
Can children stay at the hotel?
Yes. Under-19s may use the hotel, MATCH, ATLAS, The Weirs, the spa (with age limits per treatment) and the conference rooms, but not the gaming floor, the buffet, Chow Lucky Noodle Bar or adult-only shows. Children 12 and under must be with an adult at all times and children must not be left alone in rooms.
Are pets allowed?
No. Certified service animals are welcome under AODA with documentation from a regulated health professional.
Is parking free?
Self-parking is free for more than 2,500 vehicles. Valet costs $28 including HST, with free valet for some loyalty tiers.
Is there EV charging?
None of the resort's official pages mention EV charging, so we cannot say there is.
Can I get there by public transit?
No public-transit route to the resort is published. Travel guides suggest an intercity bus to Orillia and a taxi for the last 11 km. The resort's VIP Coach is for members of its loyalty programme.
Where do I pick up show tickets?
At the box office in the link just inside the main entrance, open from noon on show days. Ticketmaster is the only authorised seller; bring the purchase card and photo ID.
Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code for restaurants or concerts. The resort's code of conduct still requires shirts and footwear and bans some clothing, such as motorcycle-club insignia.
What does your desk do with my request?
We check what the resort or a booking partner can offer for your dates and reply by email with options and conditions. Nothing is booked until you confirm, and we do not take card details in the form.
Do you charge me anything?
No. If a request becomes a confirmed stay, the resort or the booking partner pays us a commission. See How we earn.

Ask our desk to hold a room for your show night
Tell us the night, the show if there is one, and how many of you are coming. We check what the resort can offer for those dates and write back with options. No card is needed to ask.
How we are paid: if a room request you send here becomes a confirmed stay, the resort or the booking partner that completes it pays us a commission. Asking costs you nothing and never raises the rate.
