The Deluxe Suite: the room most guests get

The entry room at Casino Rama Resort is already a suite. It is the room we request most often for show nights, and the one most public reviews are written about.

The official list

The resort's hotel page lists, for the Deluxe Suite: one king bed or two double beds, a gas fireplace, living-room furnishings, free Wi-Fi, a 65-inch flat-screen television with casting and on-demand content, a mini fridge, an in-room safe, an iron and ironing board, climate controls, a backlit mirror and plush towels. No size is given.

King or two doubles

Couples will want the king. Two friends at a concert, or a parent with a child, should ask for two doubles — the resort sells both as the same category, so this is a preference we pass on with the request rather than a separate room type. On busy Friday and Saturday nights in the winter show season, the bed type is the detail most likely to be confirmed only at check-in.

The fireplace

A gas fireplace in the standard room is the feature people remember. In November, December and the winter months when most of the calendar's big shows fall, coming back from the hall to a room with a fire and a sofa is a large part of why a night here feels different from a highway motel. The resort's renovation text describes the design as inspired by the natural beauty of Rama First Nation; before the renovation the same page said the rooms were inspired by a classic Muskoka lakeside cottage.

What it costs on top of the rate

The conditions page lists a resort fee of $20 plus HST per day on most stays, an authorisation for the stay plus $200 for incidentals, and a cancellation deadline of 4 PM one day before arrival (after that, one night plus tax is charged). Package and special-offer rates are non-refundable. These conditions were last edited in May 2024 and were still on the live site when we checked on 26 October 2026; we confirm them again whenever we answer a request.

Who should look elsewhere

If you need a separate bedroom for children who go to sleep before you do, look at the Parlour Suite. If you use a wheelchair or need a roll-in arrangement, the resort keeps a limited number of accessible suites and asks you to state your needs when booking — see accessibility.
