How to farm astral ore calamity? ›

Astral Ore can also be obtained from various sources in various stacks after Astrum Deus has been defeated. 10-20 from Astral Crates at a 20% chance and 1 from feeding the Extractinator with Novae Slag or Celestial Remains at a 11.47% and 10.74% chance respectively.

You may mine the ore ( astral ore ) with a pickaxe axe/drax, yet you have to defeat Astrum Deus according to the wiki. The astral ore can be used to craft Astral Bars when you pair it up with stardust.

Astral Ore can also be obtained from opening Astral Crates and feeding Novae Slag or Celestial Remains into the Extractinator once Astrum Deus is defeated. Astral Ore is immune to explosives, even after Astrum Deus is defeated. The Crystyl Crusher's beam can destroy Astral Ore before Astrum Deus is defeated.

The Astral Infection is a Hardmode biome added by the Calamity Mod. It crash-lands into the Dungeon side of the world via a meteor upon defeating the Wall of Flesh, which infects the nearby terrain and extends somewhat deep underground.

The Astral Infection Biome itself does not spread. Once a meteor crashes into the world it infects nearby tiles, and that's it.

Astrum Aureus can be spawned by using an Astral Chunk in the Astral Infection at night.

The player can become immune to Astral Infection by equipping the Ursa Sergeant or Hide of Astrum Deus accessories.

The only Biome Chest currently in the Calamity Mod is the Astral Chest. It contains a Heavenfallen Stardisk, in addition to other miscellaneous items. While Astral Chests are placed during world creation, they are initially locked and can only be opened once a certain boss is defeated.
